My first favorite experience was Freshman Year when my roommate who knew absolutely nothing about football was our Center (ended up tearing her MCL) but at one of the ND football games she screams “DID YOU SEE THE BLOCK BY O-Lineman Lindsay Knapp?”.  I’m like holy crap - you actually understand and love football now because you are playing it!!

ND women “flag” football was not true flag football where you play with the 20 yard thing.  We had same rules as regular football just flags so we couldn’t compete in flag football tournaments with other colleges but we loved that we were playing the game and it was rough!  Injuries all the time.  We tackled and got dirty and trash talked.  We were serious!  I still miss it to be honest and would love to have a reunion even though all of us would be pulling hammies and tearing ligaments fit that were to ever happen!

Playing in the stadium for the championship is probably one of the coolest things for a student. I was able to do it twice and even won a letter jacket one year which I ordered in an XL so I could give to my dad (why would I wear a letter jacket around?) who was a sub-way alumni.  He passed away this year and at his Irish Celebration of Life (per his request) we actually had to tell everyone that Dad did NOT actually attend the University of Notre Dame lol.
