1944-45 hiatus

There was no mention of interhall football at Notre Dame during the waning years of the second world war. When coverage resumed in 1946, league director John Scannell mentioned that the league was returning after a brief hiatus and would be reinstituted with no rules and better safety in mind, along with a new trophy to boot.
